Title Sequence Opening Ideas
Here I will be looking at various different title openings which could inspire us on how to create ours for our film opening.
I have specifically looked at horror/thriller openings and how they are opened.
True Blood
The True Blood opening really attracts me, as it brings out alot of key Vampire conventions such as the blood smered over somebodys mouth. A Church is also seen which has been key in Vampire lore. The titels also include alot of the colour, red. Which shows a key aspect to Vampires as it's the colour of blood and it's what they lust most.
Fright Night
What I like about the fright night opening is that the F and the T look razor sharp which could represent the sharpness of vampires teeth, but it could also look like a vampire stake. The red sky also brings out the vampire mood, representing darkness or blood.

My role as Director

David Fincher
David Fincher is an American music and film director who was born August 28th 1962. Fincher began making films at aged 8 and was welcomed into the film industry when he directed the famous Alien 3 oin 1992. Fincher was well known for creating dark and very stylish thriller films. The majority of his films would have a unique twist to his films. His first film recieved Oscar nominations for special effects, but was not recieved well by film critics.
After this Fincher went on to create the world wide blockbuster, Se7en which made $327,311,859. The film won one Oscar for best editing and was nominated for 18 other awards such as best screenplay and best director. The film ranks at #22 in IMDb's top 250 films.

Fincher went on to create the screen adaption of Fight Club about an insomniac office worker who opens up a club devoted to bare knuckle fighting for men. Featuring Edward Norton, Helena Bonham Carter, and Brad Pitt, the film was a disappointment at the box office and received mixed reviews. This lead to its box office failure in the United States.
Later on many critics and audiences later changed their opinions on the film, and it appeared on many 'best of the year' lists and soon developed a cult following and people still remember quotes from it such as "First rule of Fight Club, you do not talk about Fight Club".

Location Ideas
For our opening, we are trying to decide on where to shoot. Looking at Vampire films I have analysed, it has a mixed choice on where the opening scene is set. Such as in Fright Night it opens in a suburban neighbourhood whereas in Twilight it opens in a vastly huge open forest.
A few ideas I had to open our film with are listed below..
A forest would seem suitable as they are very large and we would have various choices on where to shoot and it would fit the scene of an eerie horror opening.

A Cemetery would also seem suitable as it is represented most in horror films and also would create a sense of terror and fear in the atmosphere when we start to film.

How we want our Vampire to look...
Here is the modern day Vampire look we want to go with. The design is simple and effective.
It would be easy to acquire the black contacts and Vampire teeth.
I want to find a decent pair of fangs which look very realistic
and are comfortable for our actor to use.
Here is what we want our Vampire to look like during his time in the Victorian age. We would probably have to make the costume more basic, as it would be difficult to get hold of these sorts of clothing. Instead we will go with a smart shirt, and use an old fashioned waistcoat.
This look would be difficult to recreate as the majority of it is probably created using CGI, but we will take some of these features and put onto our Vampire, such as how pale his skin is and the veins which are on his forehead.
